08.16.2005 take a look at the dates page! yes, we are playing a lot these last few weeks and it has been incredible. be sure to drop in at Cap City Tavern on the 20th for a semi-unplugged version of CDM. we are hoping that our friends at kcuv am1510 will show for the evening. yes? oh and, thanks to the boys in soulfeel for the invite to play at the Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs to a great crowd. was fantastic and good to drive out of town for a day!
07.14.2005 two shows in less than a week! what were we thinking? thanks to everyone that came out to the ROCKFEST at the Soiled Dove last friday! and, we hit the toad tavern for a shot at Cabo Wabo last night. thanks to jay and everyone at the toad for making it such a blast.
05.16.2005 typical monday and a good day to make an update to the site. yes, we have been absent from the public. good news is that we have been busy putting together some new stuff. new recordings, new songs... stay tuned for more details. watch for another rehearsal track or two, you know... a couple of new ideas...
03.29.2005 make sure to visit garageband.com! "codependent" has picked up some awards including:
03.14.2005 great weekend! it was good to see everyone at the show on friday at the soiled dove. met some new people, gave away some stuff, had a great time playing. what else could we want! check the sites of some of these bands from friday's show. they were all fantastic! MOTHER BRILLIANT - REDLINE DEFIANCE - MORE THAN MEDIUM
02.15.2005 cheers to all the people recovering from a spectacular v-day! and, thx to all those who made it to last thursday's show at HERMAN'S HIDEAWAY. yes, we were even graced by the celebrity presence of Rubber Planet - always a treat. check the dates page for upcoming shows. We will be at Soiled Dove on march 11. email us at tix@chasingdownmilo.com for your free tickets!
01.17.2005 added another tune to the list of downloads today. we have been playing "all the time we have" at shows for a while and have neglected to record a rehearsal and put it on the web until now. this time we were experimenting with new mics and different recording ideas. it's not exactly "live" like the other tunes but is based on a live take to get the drums, bass and ideas down. we added the vocals and some guitars after the initial take. download it today and enjoy!
01.12.2005 okay, 3 in a week! check the media page again! this one can be marked [explicit]... ;)
01.09.2005 yes, the media page is seeing a lot of activity this week... we have added another new song. we also started working out the changes for another tune which, you can look for us to add sometime in the next few days.
01.05.2005 it's been a long time! but, now that we are in new digs and the holiday season has come to an end, we thought it would be a good idea to do a quick rehearsal recording of a new one. check the media page for "she knows". we were limited to 8 tracks live so this one only has vocals, acoustic guitars, bass and drums. no room for back ups or anything else this time around. let us know what you think...
12.29.2004 seasons greetings... hope "the man" has not spoiled your holiday spirits!!! CDM is looking forward to a great new year. The excitment is building all around. we have a lot of very cool things in the making for our fans!!! watch for a new record, merchandise and shows starting in the NEW YEAR. we would like to say thanks to all of you who have been supporting CDM in 2004 and look forward to "rocking the world" in 2005.
12.03.2004 wow! just worked out the issue with disturbing the peace. all we had to do was prove that we moved and the city dropped the first offense. there is still the possibility of an issue with the other two but, they should be dropped as well.
11.23.2004 almost done with the move. acoustic rehearsal on sunday was short but very nice - no worries about a visit from the authorities. the new space is excellent. the studio equipment should be together by next week (after the thanksgiving holiday). and, we hope to have the EP in full progress as soon as we can.
don't forget to email us for your tickets to the soiled dove show on the 17th of december! send a note to tix@chasingdownmilo.com. we hope to be giving away a few new t-shirts with a new design idea that night...
11.17.2004 started moving into the new studio this week! keep watching the site for new material on the web. we figure that you might like to listen to the progress as we record new ideas and get the EP going. don't forget to send the feedback! negative comments should go to "j" and anything else goes to tod, rick or ron ;)
11.08.2004 - wow! the police are starting to get very nice about stopping our rehearsals. yes, we were halted again yesterday (no ticket this time). seems like a routine at this point. our friendly officers (no sarcasm - they really are very friendly) were quite pleasant yesterday - at 2:00pm. the good news is that we will be moving to a new spot this month (far from the less than friendly neighbor). so, all the effort to reduce the noise to a very acceptable level (see section 36 denver municipal code) has been wasted. we have been expecting visits from the authorities even when we don't play - it's seems that she knows our schedule.
so... stay tuned! we are about to be in a good position to put more new music on the site! if you can't wait, be sure to see the toad tavern show on the 12th of november. and, we think there will be new t-shirts to see then as well.
11.02.2004 - ckeck the toad tavern's schedule here. we are appearing with rubber planet, ten tiers, & zack nichols on november 12!
11.01.2004 - november is here! check the dates page for our november show(s). and, the process of disturbing the peace continues. our ticket count is now up to THREE. in fact, we acquired two just this week. stay tuned for more news... the first court date is december 8th in denver.
10.21.2004 - a BIG thanks to all of you who made it out to the soiled dove on friday oct 15th. we had such a great time and by the looks of it so did you and the 500 other people that came to hear CDM, Jay and Carbon Leaf!! we met so many GREAT people and hope to see you ALL there next time. as you can tell we are making changes to our Website daily with new info, pictures and other fun stuff. soon you will be able to read bios on each CDM member with fun facts such as Shoe size, age we were deflowered hehe! stayed tune for more. over and out, --CDM
10.10.2004 -
it's always nice to have a big audience - the police sent two cars this time. ;)
although we did not receive another "disturbing the peace" ticket, we did get a nice
lecture and some advice about what to take to court from our visitors in blue.
10.05.2004 - wow! we are back from the short road trip. entirely too much fun was had by everyone involved ;) the show at the venue in scottsdale was a blast. thanks to the reign kings for the invite and what a great venue! scottsdale is definitely on the "to visit" list again. we shared the stage with the reign kings and other great bands like: "shawn johnson and the foundation" and "breaking down".
the cooler lounge in las vegas was a blast. a small venue with a feel for the no holds barred rock/punk stuff. we laid off the acoustics turned up real loud and let it all out. and, we met some excellent acts there. a fun club indeed.
09.18.2004 - well... we were going to add another tune to the site today but we had a spot of difficulty (ticket number - GD-779076). yes, we got a ticket today for disturbing the peace. again, our officer was sincerely friendly but i have a new neighbor who apparently does not like our style of sound. she called the police after we rehearsed with acoustic guitars on the back patio (she might be a touch grumpy).
09.15.2004 - we recorded "too late too soon" today! and, the rehearsal recording is now on the site. the unexpected audience turned out to be the local authorities. no worries, none of us needed bail this evening. yes, we invited him to sit in for a bit. anyway, the kind officer declined. something about keeping his job...
so - sorry about all the noise [ -grin- ]
